I took some time thinking about selling tracks online and I had many valid concerns why not to do it, however I made my decision and I will be providing my music on my website within the next few weeks. I'm going thru all my protools session and creating mp3 version of my material that has never been released or sold to anyone and making them available for here for purchase and of course some for free so keep checking the site for updates.

Is it worth publishing your music thru digital distribution services, absolutely I will tell you 3 steps to get your music online for digital distribution. First consider the fact that if its your 1st time trying to publish your project it will be a learning experience at first, but you just made your 1st step to understanding what is required to making this happen. Let's discuss theses steps first you want to make sure you have setup an account with ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music video recordings. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording which can be permanently encoded into a product as its digital fingerprint. Encoded ISRC provide the means to automatically identify recordings for royalty payments.
Next you want to have and setup your publishing to your composition/lyrics with BMI, ASCAP and/or SESAC. Publishing rights are the rights to a song. If you write a song by yourself, you own the publishing (and copyright) from the moment you finish the song. You don't have to set up shop as a music publisher to own those rights - they automatically come with authorship. Your final step to preparing your work for digital distribution is selecting a distribution source you can google using keyword Digital Distribution and research the best option to proceed with your final destination. I know this is just a quick overview as to what you need to do to get your music available to the Internet masses, for more info give me shout on twitter @chasebeats.

I just picked up this Apogee ONE from Guitar Center all I can say it sounds amazing what a great purchase for my Logic Studio 8 Pro. I can't wait to track vocals on this bad boy and guitar riff for my album project. If anyone is thinking of purchasing this I strongly recommend it worth every penny.
